From the beginning of this adventure it has been Hurry Up, Now Wait. I remember over a year ago when I turned in my application to Rocky Mountain Surrogacy and it was a rush to get things in and when it all was done, we waited!
In the last couple weeks I have hurried with meds being done on time, finishing the contract with phone calls and emails between lawyers, and have labs collect and ultrasounds done on time. Now this week has been some intense waiting to see what is happening in the egg growing department. When will those beautiful eggs be ready??? I knew that today would tell us what would happen. If she was not triggered today then it would be tomorrow and we could know when the transfer would be scheduled. . . . .now keep in mind we are waiting. I am excited . . . . And
I am such a dork, I litterally checked my email every 30 minutes all day looking for some news. Like a kid at christmas waiting for Santa to arrive with the ultimate present. Then I got the call that she has been triggered and the transfer is happening in one week. Yay. I am sure that someone would have loved to be recording me while I was in my house alone doing a happy dance, clapping my hands and giggling. My Intended Mother and Father are equally as excited on this next step closer to a beautiful baby!!!
Next for me comes the end of some medications (goodbye needles) and the start of new medications (hello new needles). It also comes with the fertilizing of the eggs with millions of happen little boys excited for the chance at life. Who will be the winner?
There is so much to do in the next week but it is all a part of the plan.We will schedule a hotel to stay in for a couple days of relaxation, with my friends Netflix, Books and Sleepy time. I will finalize my sub for my paper route, make sure the kiddos and the huz are all sorted out for the days I am away, and ooh a massage.
I am so cool with whatever plan is thrown at me because I am doing it for some amazing Parents and I am honored to do it. I know with my entire heart that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in my life doing what I am supposed to be doing.
When this little Hurry Up is done we will have a little Wait (which will feel like forever trust me) to find out if the procedure worked. Will the embryo hold on and give this Beautiful couple a baby? I hope so!
Until next time. I love you.
